Proper and clean crimping is the basis for the proper functioning of the AMP SUPERSEAL™ contact system. Only if this is done correctly, the connections are reliable, dust and waterproof as well as temperature resistant (-40 C to +125 C).

What is necessary for a high-quality crimping result?

To achieve a permanently good crimp connection, you should always use a manufacturer-approved crimping tool with locator. The locator simplifies the crimping process. It is designed so that the cable is permanently fixed with the terminal at exactly the right place and cannot slip. This minimizes the sources of errors enormously. Due to the precise compression, the crimping connection fits perfectly into the connector housing afterwards.
